The Team
Thinkbox Co-Pay Project

Founder/Director
Ken Stumpmier
Ken is a father, photographer, and mental health advocate with one driving mission: making healing accessible for the people doing everything right, and still priced out of care.
He knows that struggle firsthand. In his twenties, Ken was working full time and had to walk away from therapy because even with insurance, the co-pays and deductibles stacked too high. He saw how easily money, not willingness, can cut people off from the care they need. That experience didn’t just leave a mark; it planted the seed for The Thinkbox Co-Pay Project, a nonprofit he launched to bridge that financial gap and make sure others don’t have to choose between their healing and their bills.
Ken’s work is fueled by a simple belief: no one should lose their chance at mental health because of a price tag. Through Thinkbox, he’s building partnerships, rallying donors, and creating pathways so therapy, prescriptions, and support stay within reach.
Beyond his nonprofit, Ken also hosts a podcast that blends real talk, humor, and heart—raw conversations about mental health, fatherhood, and the messy, beautiful work of being human. Whether he’s behind a camera, behind a mic, or behind the mission of Thinkbox, one thing stays the same: helping people heal and feel less alone.
